The timing is sure in Calhoun County's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Whitmire has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Calhoun County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-8 win over Wagener-Salley at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.
One reason for the win was Calhoun County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Amare Haynes and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Whitmire was beaten by C.A. Johnson 38-6 on Friday.
Calhoun County's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Whitmire, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
