After a string of five wins, Bishop Blanchet's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a hard 67-53 fall against the Roosevelt Roughriders. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roughriders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Washington, who posted 18 points. Pearson Dukes was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Bishop Blanchet's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Roosevelt, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Blanchet will host Seattle Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Roosevelt, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Seattle at 8:30 p.m. Roosevelt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.
