The Mt. Rainier Rams will head out to take on the Stadium Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Rainier is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Mt. Rainier will bounce into Monday's game after beating Kentwood, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Conquerors 7-6.

Kadence Avila Petitt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makayla Oliver, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Kendall Parker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Stadium, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Auburn Riverside 10-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Kylie Mick and London Kim did most of the damage at the plate: Mick went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Kim went 2-for-3 with three runs and one double. That double marked the first that Mick has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaynie Galindo, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Stadium was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburn Riverside only posted a batting average of .312.
Stadium pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Mt. Rainier, their record is now 7-5.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mt. Rainier has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .431. However, it's not like Stadium struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mt. Rainier came out on top in a nail-biter against Stadium when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
