Basketball Recap: Christian Community Beats South Haven Christian for Their Third Straight Victory

Christian Community had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 41-31 victory over South Haven Christian. The squad ran away with 29 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Christian Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Autumn Ray, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Those six boards gave Ray a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of M.J. Dodd, who posted nine points and eight steals.

Christian Community's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for South Haven Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-3.

Christian Community won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oak Ridge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Haven Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Lighthouse Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Haven Christian is facing Lighthouse Christian at the right time seeing as Lighthouse Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
