Even though the Coolidge Colts scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, the Maret Frogs still came out on top. Maret managed a 63-58 win over Coolidge.
Several Colts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quintin Cooper, who scored 22 points. Cooper scored a full 37.9% of Coolidge's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Makiah Gray, who scored 15 points.
Maret's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Coolidge, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maret will take on Thurgood Marshall Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Coolidge and Idea will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
