Timpanogos has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Payson Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Timpanogos, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-39 loss to Mountain View.
Despite their defeat, Timpanogos saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ella Maddox, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that Maddox posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Puckett, who scored six points along with three steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Payson entered their tilt with Provo with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Payson was the clear victor by a 59-35 margin over Provo. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Payson has posted yet this season.
Timpanogos' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Payson, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Everything went Timpanogos' way against Payson in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Timpanogos made off with a 67-46 win. Will Timpanogos repeat their success, or does Payson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
