The Hughson Huskies and the Palma Chieftains squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Hughson Huskies had to settle for second. They took a 31-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chieftains. Hughson's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexander Villarreal, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Villarreal is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Mcdaniel, who threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Hughson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Palma, they have yet to lose a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 10-4 record.
Hughson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palma also has no future games currently scheduled.
