Delta is 0-10 against Juab since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rabbits will head out on the road to challenge the Wasps at 3:00 p.m. Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
Delta is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against North Sanpete on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Rabbits' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Delta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayson Meinhardt, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Juab came out on top against South Summit on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Wasps never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Wasps not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2025 (when they won 12-0).
Carter Bair tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Juab is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-7 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Easton Park, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kaeden Christensen was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
Juab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Juab's record is now 4-8. As for Delta, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
Juab's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Delta has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Juab, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Delta's sizable advantage in that area, the Wasps will need to find a way to close that gap.
