4A Region III District 22 recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 22 this week, Ridge Point beat Spring Woods 70-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Panthers.
Ridge Point led the league in scoring this week by notching 70 points on the Tigers. Saje Wren ran for 73 yards during the win.
Reggie Taylor was a passing and rushing force as Brett Sniffin's team topped Spring Woods. Taylor's key target this week was Deante Ford, who caught 2 passes for 77 yards.
Ford was the best receiver in the league this week as the Panthers bested the Tigers. Ford racked up 2 receptions for 77 yards. Joe Rogers helped Ridge Point's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 71 yards.
Ridge Point's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Troy Alexander has thrown for 603 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Ford has 15 catches for 365 yards.
The top two teams in 4A Region III District 22 will face off this week when first place Ridge Point takes on second place Stratford. Last week, Ridge Point topped Spring Woods, while Stratford defeated Tomball.
The Panthers' offense has scored 395 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Spartans have allowed only 87 on the year.
