The Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 49-33 to Lyle/Pacelli. Wabasha-Kellogg has struggled against the Athletics recently, as their game on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Wabasha-Kellogg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ileana DeAngel, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Brielle Adams who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 54.5% of Wabasha-Kellogg's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Wabasha-Kellogg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 13 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Wabasha-Kellogg dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wabasha-Kellogg will take on the Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they will head out on the road to square off against the Burros at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lanesboro is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
