Volleyball Recap: Crawford Has No Trouble Against Point Loma

Crawford's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Point Loma Pointers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on April 10th.

While Crawford might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Point Loma scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

Crawford's offense was headlined by Ky Thong and Eh Leh Ber Brown, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Adolfo Ventura and his 27 assists. Finally, Nibhan Mohamed kept Crawford's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Crawford's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Point Loma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-24 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crawford will face off against Castle Park at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Point Loma, they will square off against Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
