Basketball Game Preview: Boulder City Eagles vs. Pahrump Valley Trojans

Boulder City has gone 10-0 against Pahrump Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Boulder City Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Pahrump Valley Trojans at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Boulder City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Boulder City faced off against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on Tuesday. Boulder City blew past Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas 74-50. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Sean Pendleton was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 en route to 20 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Birch, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Boulder City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Pahrump Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 53-47 to Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Pirate: they've now lost three in a row.

Boulder City is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Pahrump Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
