Even though the Calumet Christian Patriots have not done well against the Heritage Christian Defenders recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Calumet Christian enjoyed a cozy 46-31 victory over Heritage Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Calumet Christian.
Calumet Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makenna Landkrohn out in front who scored 17 points along with six assists and six steals. Landkrohn set a new season high mark in blocks with four. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Prim, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Calumet Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Heritage Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Calumet Christian and Granger Christian will face off at 6:15 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Heritage Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parkview Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on January 19th.
