Landen Dellinger Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Shepherd's Landen Dellinger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dellinger rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also threw for ten yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.3). That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.
This season, Dellinger has thrown 2 touchdowns while averaging 35.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to nine.

Hamshire-Fannett picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braxton Starnes. Starnes was dynamite, picking up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Hamshire-Fannett pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Starnes and Hamshire-Fannett will take on Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Preston Stephens' Big Game Leads Shepherd over Tarkington
Preston Stephens continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 14th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 119 rushing yards. He rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown.
Tarkington had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Stephens it was a similar story. When Stephens last faced the Longhorns back in September of 2023, he rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Jasper had to settle for second on Friday, but Payton Brooks sure wasn't going down easily. Brooks was unstoppable, rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also picking up 61 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Jasper is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Brooks and Jasper will welcome Hamshire-Fannett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Isaiah Coleman Makes It Two for Jasper
Another Jasper player making an appearance on this list is Isaiah Coleman. He threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 58 yards.
For the season, Coleman has thrown 12 touchdowns (and and only 2 pick) while averaging 185.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 68.55 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 103.33 passer rating.
