The Farmington Scorpions can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 70-28 win over Miyamura. The victory was nothing new for Farmington as they're now sitting on six straight.
Leading Farmington to victory were Kjani Anitielu and Kapiolani Anitielu. Anitielu scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Anitielu scored 19 points along with seven steals. Anitielu is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caris Dale, who scored four points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Farmington's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Miyamura, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Farmington will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hobbs at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Hobbs is ranked first, while Farmington is ranked second). As for Miyamura, they will head out on the road to challenge Espanola Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
