The Puckett Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the Florence Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Puckett is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, Puckett made easy work of Raleigh and carried off an 18-5 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Raegan Hardin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Hardin was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Shivers, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Kendall Brown was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.
Puckett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Raleigh only posted an OBP of .360.
Brandon hit Florence with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.
Florence saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaid Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Puckett's record is now 11-0. As for Florence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Florence's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Puckett has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Florence, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Puckett keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Everything went Puckett's way against Florence when the teams last played back in February, as Puckett made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
