Elm Creek not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 27, 2024 (when they won 63-14). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Franklin 59-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.
Elm Creek's win came from a few key players Kenesaw will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kole Steiner, who rushed for 104 yards and one TD on only 12 carries, and also threw for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Keston Beavers also helped with two scores in total.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Elm Creek's defense and their three sacks. Blake Erickson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Kenesaw's record now sits at 2-3. As for Elm Creek, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Kenesaw has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 183.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Elm Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 206 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
