Cohen made easy work of KIPP Renaissance on Friday and carried off a 34-6 victory. Followers of Cohen probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Cohen's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 22 first-half points. Meanwhile, KIPP Renaissance couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. The Cohen defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest.
The win was the 4th in a row for Cohen raised their record to 5-3. This is the second loss in a row for KIPP Renaissance and nudges their record down to 2-6.
Cohen will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Wright at 7:00 PM. After those two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. KIPP Renaissance will take on Riverdale at home at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
