Sunnyside kept a clean sheet against McLane on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the McLane Highlanders 1-0. The Wildcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matches.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Vianey Silva, which was the first she's scored this season.

Sunnyside's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for McLane, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-2 and their overall record down to 16-6-2.

Sunnyside will square off against Sanger West at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for McLane, they will face off against Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McLane is facing Roosevelt at the right time seeing as Roosevelt is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
