Meanwhile, Knightstown got themselves on the board against Irvington Preparatory Academy on Tuesday, but Irvington Preparatory Academy never followed suit. K Weaver made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Weaver was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Knightstown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Union City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Union City might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Knightstown when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
