Even though the Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, the Homestead Highlanders still came out on top. Homestead took down Benilde-St. Margaret's 80-64. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Homestead.
It was another big night for Tim Franks, who went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 39 points and 0 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Trevor Polite was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Homestead has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Benilde-St. Margaret's, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Homestead will square off against West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Bend West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 194th, while Homestead is ranked 14th). As for Benilde-St. Margaret's, they will head out on the road to take on Chanhassen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Chanhassen's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
