The Big Sandy Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 71-55 to Livingston Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Big Sandy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cole Pierpoint, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The match was Pierpoint's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Green, who scored 16 points.
Big Sandy bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Livingston Central, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Sandy will take on Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lewis County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 583 points over their last nine games. As for Livingston Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
