Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Lejeune turned things around against Jones Senior on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Devilpups have posted since February 27, 2025.
Molly McSorley was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McSorley was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lainey Baldwin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Montgomery, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples and one run.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lejeune hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340.
