The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season. They breezed by Arcadia at home to the tune of 59-20. The victory was some much needed relief for Mountain Ridge as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Among those leading the charge was Maddie Green, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Burchfield, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Mountain Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Arcadia, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Deer Valley the next time they take the court. Mountain Ridge will host Deer Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Arcadia will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
