After both having extra time off, the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians and the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask NorthPoint Christian Academy). They blew past Covenant Classical 20-0 last Tuesday. With that victory, the NightHawks brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Max Porter and Andrew Badolato made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Porter tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Badolato tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Porter has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Porter went 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI, while Badolato went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Badolato a new career-high.
In other batting news, Micah Enriquez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Powell Maslin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
NorthPoint Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win was the fifth in a row for NorthPoint Christian Academy, bringing their record up to 9-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Westminster Catawba Christian, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-10.
Westminster Catawba Christian skirted past NorthPoint Christian Academy 10-8 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
