Hardin Northern has gone a perfect 4-0 against Pandora-Gilboa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Polar Bears will challenge the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Hardin Northern will be strutting in after a win while Pandora-Gilboa will be coming in after a defeat.
Hardin Northern took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridgemont, sneaking past 4-2.
Lyla Holtzberger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addy Bacon was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylie Bacon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Hardin Northern hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgemont struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Arcadia, falling 12-2.
Pandora-Gilboa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenna Deken, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Hardin Northern is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
Everything went Hardin Northern's way against Pandora-Gilboa in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hardin Northern made off with a 22-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Polar Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
