Basketball Recap: Davenport Piles Up the Points Against Eastside Early College

It's playoff time, and Davenport had no trouble coming through when it counted. They breezed past the Eastside Early College Panthers to the tune of 76-46 on Monday. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Christian Mckinney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 17 points in addition to six boards and five steals. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joshua Bendele, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 12 points and eight boards.

Davenport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Loss or not, Eastside Early College got some senior leadership from Kaymond Wilkins and Jakob Acosta. Wilkins put up 18 points, while Acosta earned 14 points.

The win was the sixth in a row for Davenport, bringing their record for this year to 29-5. As for Eastside Early College, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Davenport has already played their next game (against Floresville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eastside Early College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
