Central got themselves on the board against Westwood on Friday, but Westwood never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 13-0. With that win, the Cobras brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Carlos De La Cruz and Kamai Purce made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, De La Cruz tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Purce tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At bat, De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Purce went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other pitching news, Cody Ray looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2025.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Timothy Stevens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Blackwood, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
