Cristo Rey Research Triangle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Londynn Campbell out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Campbell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Yari Fortune, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Carolina M can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Emerson Waldorf 54-22 at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Carolina M had established a 23 point advantage.
Carolina M's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Faison, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Catie Alexander, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Cristo Rey Research Triangle's victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10. As for Carolina M, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5.
