Bandys is 8-2 against Bunker Hill since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out to take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bandys gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern, sneaking past 2-1.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bunker Hill). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Foard on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bears needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Ross Fickling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Fickling was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Kaiden Garrett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Bunker Hill is 3-1 when Garrett posts two or more runs, but 1-10 otherwise. Kamden Bortz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Bunker Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bandys' record is now 4-12. As for Bunker Hill, they moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
Bandys couldn't quite get it done against Bunker Hill when the teams last played back in March as they fell 6-2. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
