The Pewitt Brahmas will take on the Bowie Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pewitt is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Pewitt turned things around against Rivercrest on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Rebels. The Brahmas not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 22, 2025 (when they won 18-0).
Mylee Morris made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eryn Latham, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kilei Jones, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Pewitt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bowie lost 17-2 to Detroit on Friday. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Pewitt's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Bowie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
