Danville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Davis, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Maddy Wethington was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Western Boone's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Speedway.
Despite the loss, Western Boone got a solid performance out of Emmerson Gott, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ila Stokes, who scored nine points.
Danville's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Western Boone, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Everything went Danville's way against Western Boone in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Danville made off with a 59-38 win. With Danville ahead 35-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
