South Harrison extended the longest winning streak in Grand River this week by beating Braymer, 59-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
South Harrison took down the Bobcats 59-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dylan Heitz threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 65 yards in the win.
Chad Ness was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 227 yards on 14 carries as Gallatin topped Braymer. Issac Mattis also contributed to the rushing game with 172 yards on the ground.
Hendren was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs beat Troy Stemberger's team. Hendren tallied three receptions for 90 yards. Tyler O'Neal helped South Harrison's passing attack out by catching two balls for 75 yards.
Colton Hartley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Princeton defeated Albany. He completed seven passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 173 yards. Hartley's favorite target this week was Brant Faulkner, who caught four passes for 73 yards.
South Harrison's Heitz and Hendren have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Grand River in both passing and receiving yards. Heitz has thrown for 1107 yards this season, while Hendren has 31 catches for 606 yards. Hartley from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 911 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Bulldogs take on the Warriors. South Harrison's offense has recorded 205 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Albany has permitted only 233 on the year.
King City's Trey Thompson is a mere 98 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Thompson has rushed for 902 yards on 148 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Alan Gottula's team. At the moment, South Harrison is in first, while the Warriors are in seventh.
