On Saturday, Cathedral Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Bellarmine College Prep, taking the game 62-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cathedral Catholic.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cathedral Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Ingram, who scored 19 points. The matchup was Ingram's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Patrick O'brien was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds.
Cathedral Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bellarmine College Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cathedral Catholic is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Mt. Carmel at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Mt. Carmel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 609th, while Cathedral Catholic is ranked 62nd). As for Bellarmine College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
