Serena Thurman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyra Ryhal, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2025. Lyla Killian also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Maiden got themselves on the board against St. Stephens on Wednesday, but St. Stephens never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Indians. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Bunker Hill, Maiden also got a great game from a two-way player: Raegan Rembert. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Rembert was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Maiden let Ella Bryan and Maddy Clontz run wild. Bryan went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Clontz got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Maiden kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Bunker Hill's record is now 9-1. As for Maiden, their record now sits at 5-7.
Bunker Hill got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Maiden by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
