After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hollywood, Discovery was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards with a sharp 21-9 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vanguards: they've now won nine in a row.

Pamela Quiroz was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Britany Arellano, who got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with four runs.

Discovery's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Valley Oaks CES, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Discovery will challenge rival Community Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES is set to take on their familiar foe Sun Valley Magnet at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
