Fremont is 8-2 against Syracuse since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fremont Silverwolves will be playing at home against the Syracuse Titans at 7:00 p.m. Fremont will be strutting in after a win while Syracuse will be coming in after a loss.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Fremont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Weber by a score of 75-68. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Fremont as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Fremont's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Easton Duft, who scored 25 points along with seven assists, and Hunter Hansen, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duft has scored all season. Zach Masters was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Syracuse's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 64-52 to Davis. Syracuse has struggled against Davis recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Fremont's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Syracuse, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-9.
Fremont came up short against Syracuse in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 44-39. Can Fremont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
