The Decatur Seahawks had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 41-7 win over Queen Anne's County at home. The win was just business as usual for Decatur, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Brycen Coleman was a one-man wrecking crew for Decatur as he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Coleman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarian Manuel, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Despite the loss, Queen Anne's County still got an impressive performance from John Connolly, who rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown.
Decatur's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31 points. As for Queen Anne's County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
Decatur will take on Kent Island at TBD on Friday. Queen Anne's County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
