After nine games on the road, Wright is heading back home. They will take on the Dollar Bay Bays at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Wright was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Hancock. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wright has scored all season.
Dollar Bay suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 54-33 loss at the hands of Wakefield. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Dollar Bay has suffered against Wakefield since January 3, 2019.
Dollar Bay's defeat came about despite a quality game from Adelyn Swain, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Swain is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Kiera Isaacson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Wright's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Dollar Bay, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9.
Wright won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, slipping by Dollar Bay 39-38. Will Wright repeat their success, or does Dollar Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
