The Clymer Central Pirates's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 45-36 victory over Brocton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clymer Central also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Kaden Beckerink was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds. Jonathan Massing was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Clymer Central's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Brocton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-3.
Clymer Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Salamanca at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Salamanca knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Clymer Central likes a good challenge. Brocton will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Cattaraugus-Little Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
