The East Carter Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morgan County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Carter has scored all season.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Savannah Adams, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Avery Hall was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
East Carter's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Morgan County, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Carter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Irish at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. The timing is sure in St. Joseph Central's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Raiders have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Morgan County's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tomcats at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Blazer is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
