With a playoff win on the line, Barron Collier rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the Lemon Bay Manta Rays as they made off with a 17-3 victory. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Casey Johnson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Hernandez Carr, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Barron Collier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lemon Bay only posted an OBP of .417.

Barron Collier pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Lemon Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Barron Collier will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Manta Rays: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
