The Chapel Hill Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to North Lamar. Chapel Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Lamar apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for North Lamar, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chapel Hill will take on Sulphur Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapel Hill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for North Lamar, they will head out on the road to take on Pittsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pittsburg's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
