The Millry Wildcats lost against the Choctaw County Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Millry fell 55-47 to Choctaw County. Millry has not had much luck with Choctaw County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Choctaw County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyshawn Carlisle led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Carlisle hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrod Chaney, who scored eight points along with six assists and four steals.
Millry's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Choctaw County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millry will take on Choctaw County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Choctaw County, they will play host again and welcome Southern Choctaw, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Choctaw will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
