With a playoff game on the line, the Medicine Lodge Indians rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past Valley Heights with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. The victory was familiar territory for Medicine Lodge who now have seven in a row.
Keveon Ruiz had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 75 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Derrek Randels did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Medicine Lodge's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Valley Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Medicine Lodge will take on Conway Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Conway Springs is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Valley Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
