Vanessa Nawracaj made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ella Goldberg was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Kylie Konstand was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Windermere Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Harvest Community fell victim to Trinity Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Conquerors, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Windermere Prep pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Harvest Community, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-3 record.
Both Windermere Prep and Harvest Community just can't seem to miss. The Lakers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Harvest Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
