The Memorial Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Providence Prep, falling 65-32. Memorial Christian Academy has not had much luck with Providence Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asa Jackson, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two blocks. Maddox Billman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Memorial Christian Academy bumped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Providence Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial Christian Academy will take on Grace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Grace Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. As for Providence Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sterling Classical at 7:00 p.m. Sterling Classical is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
