The Center Roughriders will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Cushing Bearkats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cushing took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Center, who comes in off a win.
Center is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Chapel Hill get on the board and left with a 20-0 win on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Kaylee Sigler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Sigler was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Destiny Arcibar and Autumn Bennett did most of the damage at the plate: Arcibar went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base, while Bennett went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Bennett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelsea Arcibar, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Center always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Cushing came up short against Elkhart on Saturday and fell 6-1. The Bearkats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cushing saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Willis, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Rylie Arreguin also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
The win made it two in a row for Center and bumps their season record up to 3-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Cushing, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Center came out on top in a nail-biter against Cushing when the teams last played back in March of 2016, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Roughriders repeat their success, or do the Bearkats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
