Lakeridge is 1-9 against Oregon City since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pacers will be playing at home against the Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. Lakeridge has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lakeridge and Tigard meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Pacers came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-1.
Lakeridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was HAYDEN BARNEY, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oregon City). Everything went their way against Tualatin on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Ellie Joseph made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Oregon City got a massive performance out of Allie Oliver, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Oliver has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Callie Arnold, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Oregon City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tualatin didn't got any hits.
Lakeridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Oregon City, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
