Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Taft Wildcats walked away with it. They really took it to Rosamond for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-34 victory at home. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Cameron Cash had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 215 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries. Cash was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was Cash Clark, who picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Taft's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Rosamond, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Taft will head out on the road to face off against Mendota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mendota will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. Rosamond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
